On New Year’s Eve, Noche Vieja, one can find most of Sevilla, España gathered in “La Plaza Nueva” in front of the large clock of the “Ayuntamiento” (City Hall) as well as many other gathering places and homes. As the clock begins to strike midnight, a grape is popped into the mouth and eaten, for every chime of the clock. If you manage to get twelve grapes in your mouth and eat them, it will bring good luck for the New Year.
